SCISSOR LIFT Certification Includes

Safety Fundamentals

You’ll build a strong foundation in workplace safety, including OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, and proper equipment inspection protocols.

Equipment Operation

Get hands-on with MEWP 3A scissor lifts. Learn to drive and operate the lift while elevated, manage platform controls, and navigate through tight and elevated spaces.

Practical Assessment

Put your skills to the test on our real-world obstacle course. You’ll demonstrate what you’ve learned in a monitored environment designed to simulate job site conditions.

Certification

Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a certification to operate Class 1A and 1B equipment that meets OSHA and ANSI standards and remains valid for 3 years.

What This Certification Covers

This course focuses on MEWP 1A & 3A equipment, scissor lifts that travel straight up and down and can be driven while elevated. Students learn how to operate this equipment safely using our hands-on obstacle course and instruction that aligns with OSHA 1910.67, OSHA 1926.453, A92, and ISO standards.

Scissor Lift Training Course Overview

Instructor-led and fully in person. Training includes both classroom instruction and hands-on experience with scissor lift operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Scissor Lift Training certification is valid for 3 years.

Bring a form of ID, closed-toe shoes, weather-appropriate clothing (we may train outside), and a lunch item or snack for 8-hour sessions. We do have a refrigerator. Seat Time provides PPE as necessary, water, and coffee.

Add “or we will allow a partial refund if you decide this isn’t something you no longer wish to continue pursuing”.

 

Yes. We offer flexible rescheduling options with at least 24 hours notice.

 

Yes. After completing the course and passing your evaluation, you’ll receive a MEWP operator certification that’s valid for three years.
