This course is designed for professionals who already have experience operating large vehicles and want to earn Boom Lift Certification to safely operate boom lifts that can extend beyond the base and be driven while elevated.
SCISSOR LIFT Certification Includes
Safety Fundamentals
You’ll learn essential safety protocols, including OSHA-compliant procedures, pre-operation inspections, and best practices for identifying and avoiding hazards on the job site.
Equipment Operation
You’ll receive practical training on MEWP 3B boom lifts, including how to maneuver the lift, control the extension features, and drive while elevated. This part of the course is conducted in a realistic obstacle course environment.
Practical Assessment
After completing the training, you’ll demonstrate your ability to safely operate a boom lift. The assessment will test your real-world readiness using hands-on evaluation in a controlled setting.
Certification
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a certification to operate Class 1B and 3B equipment that meets OSHA and ANSI standards and remains valid for 3 years.

Your Boom Lift Training certification is valid for 3 years.
Bring a form of ID, closed-toe shoes, weather-appropriate clothing (we may train outside), and a lunch item or snack for 8-hour sessions. We do have a refrigerator. Seat Time provides PPE as necessary, water, and coffee.
Unfortunately no, our certification focuses on towable boom lifts. Bucket trucks require more information and training.
Yes. We offer flexible rescheduling options with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Yes. After completing the course and passing your evaluation, you’ll receive a MEWP operator certification.
