SEAT TIME RECERTIFICATION
OSHA Forklift Recertification Online
OSHA Compliance: Why You Need Recertification
According to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178, all powered industrial truck operators must be re-evaluated at least once every three years. Seat Time provides a comprehensive renewal program designed to verify safety knowledge and operational skill, keeping your workplace compliant and your team safe.
Seat Time Recertification Programs
We offer high-impact, focused recertification sessions at our Lawrenceville training center. Each program is designed for efficiency and regulatory rigor.
Forklift Recertification
$110 | 2 hours | Max 12 people
Even the most seasoned pros can pick up bad habits over three years. This session is a quick but thorough “tune-up” of your forklift knowledge. We’ll go over the latest safety protocols and then head out to the obstacle course. You’ll be tested on the actual vehicles you use, proving you’ve still got the precision and control needed to keep a busy warehouse running safely.
Aerial Lift Recertification
$110 | 2 hours | Max 12 people
Working at height leaves zero room for error. This refresher focuses on the stuff that matters most when you’re 20 feet up: fall protection, equipment inspections, and platform stability. Whether you’re on a scissor lift or a boom, we’ll put you through your paces to make sure you’re as comfortable and safe in the air as you are on the ground.

What the Program Includes
Unlike “fast-track” or generic one-hour certifications, Seat Time’s program is a robust, expert-led experience:

The Safety Review: Beyond the Basics
Safety standards don’t stay the same, and neither should your training. We do a deep-dive into the latest OSHA and ANSI updates to make sure you aren’t operating on outdated info. We focus heavily on equipment-specific hazards—like high-traffic blind spots and overhead obstructions—that cause the most common job site accidents. It’s not just a lecture; it’s a refresher on the life-saving habits that keep you and your crew out of harm’s way.
The Written Exam: Proving Your Prep
Before you get behind the wheel, we need to make sure the physics of the machine are fresh in your mind. This formal knowledge check focuses on the critical “Why” behind the “How.” You’ll verify your understanding of the stability triangle, load center of gravity, and daily inspection protocols. Passing this exam proves you have the technical foundation required to handle heavy machinery in a professional environment.

Practical Assessment: The Obstacle Course
This is where the rubber meets the road. You’ll head out to our specialized obstacle course for a real-world performance evaluation. We don’t use generic simulators—you’ll be assessed on the actual type of vehicle you’re recertifying on. From navigating tight turns to handling loads at height, our trainers will watch your technique to ensure you’re operating with the precision and confidence that Seat Time is known for.

Per OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.178, all operators must be re-evaluated at least once every three years. However, you may need a refresher sooner if you are involved in an accident, a near-miss, or if you are assigned to a new type of equipment you haven’t used before.
To join our recertification program, you must bring the card or certificate you are looking to renew. If you originally trained with Seat Time and lost your card, contact us before your session so we can verify your records and help you get back on track.
Recertification is designed for experienced operators who have held a license previously. If you are looking to operate a completely new type of vehicle (for example, moving from a sit-down forklift to a boom lift for the first time), we recommend our Full Certification Course to ensure you get the fundamental training required for that specific machine.
