Our PIT Certification includes both classroom instruction and hands-on forklift certification training, covering key topics like safe operation, load handling, fueling, and ramp procedures. You’ll learn how to operate PIT vehicles such as sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jacks, tow tractors, and rough terrain forklifts safely. After completing a written test and hands-on evaluation, you’ll receive a certification wallet card to verify your skills.

Anyone who operates a forklift or powered industrial truck as part of their job is required by OSHA to be certified. This includes warehouse workers, construction crew members, and material handling staff in a variety of industries.

Each course is typically completed in one day. Most classes run 7 to 8 hours, depending on the course and your experience level. This includes both classroom training and hands-on forklift operation.

Yes. We offer PIT Certification on-site at your business or at our Metro Atlanta training center. On-site training is a great option for teams or companies looking to certify multiple employees at once.

Yes. All Seat Time forklift certification courses meet OSHA 1910.178 requirements. Specific courses also meet standards from ANSI and ISO when applicable.

Yes. After passing the written exam and hands-on evaluation, you’ll receive a certification wallet card as proof of training and compliance.

OSHA recommends forklift operators be re-evaluated every three years, or sooner if there’s an accident or a change in job responsibilities. Refresher training is available as needed.
